Joker (Matthew Modine), Animal Mother (Adam Baldwin), Gomer (Vincent D'Onofrio), Eightball (Dorian Harewood), Cowboy (Arliss Howard) og de andre havner i et helvede af en træningslejr, hvor de bliver tværet flade af den skrigende eksercits-instruktør (Lee Ermey), der betragter de vordende dræbermaskiner som padder, mider eller noget endnu lavere.
